Another Spring Another Heartbreak

Another spring,
Another heartbreak.
Started to sing,
Another mistake.
These tears they bring
Both joy and remake
Of self and sting.
My heart and my ache.

Another fling?
How do my knees shake?
You like me swing?
I learned to bake.

Give you something
To see that dear snake.
Give me a ring.
Real one, not a fake!

The voices ring
In my head and rake.
Cut off the string,
Oh, for goodness sake!
