Another Shot At Good Bye

The time has come, that day we fear The end or the beginning presented right here With my man by my side and my girl in my heart It’s time to choose with whom I shall part I think of you all as I replay the past It’s hard to believe, 4 years gone so fast One by one, I laugh and I cry You each made your mark but only when high The days we were sober we spent all alone We never hung out, rarely talked on the phone But in comes that text and it happens once more Again I have friends, as they line up at my door So here’s my big plan, listen up so you know The start of my new life, true colors you will show Don’t call me for dope or all you’ll hear is a click I’ll go to my list, find your name, place a tick So I’m saying good bye and I’m walking away Missing you all but in my heart you will stay Please don’t forget who you are deep inside It's then you can feel safe and not have to hide

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

For whatever reasons, sometimes we need to say good bye. Always an emotional thing to do.
