Hold tight the night
Embrace the dark
Lit only by Luna’s
Lambent spark
Keep tight the lids
So not to see
A ray of light
Not meant to be
For in the dark
Dreams can be
Another shade of
Reality
And a world as bright
Without the light
Of velvet black
Dark things to see
Enjoy the world
Of ebon deep
Dreams of wonder
In your sleep
Push away the day
That world so bright
Embrace the dark
Hold tight the night
