Another Prison Night
As our dreams interlock.
We hope for the clock.
To turn another day.
So we are closer to what we pray.
To not have guards that don’t care if we sleep.
Each night we are gifted with more scars to keep.
As we laugh about remission.
Which we seek without permission.
For as we lie in prison.
We make a decision.
To lie here with our innocence.
And cry with reminiscence.
