Another life
Would you act like we never met, would you make it seem like I was the easiest person to forget, I want the truth, I want you, would you walk past me like our eyes never locked on all those rainy nights, would you walk past me with the thought of “in another life.” Am I the one you think about as you lay awake at night, as the moon begins to settle, do I ever cross your mind, on the nights that you lay awake without a shadow by your side, do you wish we could have one more night, I remembered, I never forgot, I was born to remember your every silent thought, the ones spoken, even more the ones never said, I believe I was born to understand every lingering thought in your head, the room was dark, yet I could still see a spark, the spark had a tint of blue, the spark was within you, as our eyes began to close, and our last sight was one another, I fell asleep in the arms of a lover, not just a lover, but the one I would choose to love again, and again, I would choose you for a lifetime, but unfortunately, that lifetime will have to wait, pass me by on the street our eyes first met, I don’t know what you were thinking but I my intentions were set, you are who I want, you always will be, think about it, as you lay awake at night, ask yourself, will I be the one you choose, in another life.
