Another Dumb Poem
In a world of confusion
Sitting here musing
Advanced as we are
Have we gone to far
What ever you need to know
Your knowledge you wish to grow
Look at your phone it will show
The time of technology is here and now
Don't know, the phone will show you how
Everywhere you look
No more reading a book
People relying more and more
Never opening their door
Lost in a new world they found
A world wide web has us bound
People die
People cry
Lot of folks lie
Lost in the web of their own choice
Sitting among many you hear no voice
Humanity in a box
They were sly as a fox
All the fun things to do
The screen must be made of glue
You lose track of what's real
You forget how to feel
To deal
Our every desire for all to see
Not using our own brain
Simply insane
We become
To some
God's of knowledge to any other time in the past
Knowledge now comes so.fast
This little black box I think
Has taken us to the brink
Families no longer talk
Or go for a walk
Anything they want to see
In the computer it be
Life has been painted
Tainted
Cheapened to such a degree
Thinking their free
While chained to a little screen their attention be
A matrix of our own making
So many it has taken
Seeing all there is to be shown
becomes the reality of its own
