Another Day of Bliss

Memory, morning sun is streaming through the leaves of a gnarly old gum tree
seated by the creek it's for a big one I am wishing
Line and hook dangled in the water the dragon flies flitting there's more than three
another magic day , meditation whilst I am fishing

Good day Tom There were many mornings I spent on the creek that ran through our property. brown trout not native to Australia had been introduced. They generally never grew too big A pound was a good size. I often came home with at least half a dozen. One day when i was around fourteen I caught one that weighed in at three pound. That was exciting. We just used a pole with a line tied on the end with an earthworm on the hook . Then one christmas I received a fibre glass rod with a reel It was my best ever xmas present. My grandson still has the rod. Its living up to its lifetime guarantee
