Another Cup of Loneliness

We all live with the choices that we make but do we realize what is truly at stake? Hearts some times yearning for what we gave up, starting afresh but no longer a pup. Come here my new friend, another cup of loneliness. We've been kicked to the curb and hurt to our core as we turned what was love into a war, and thru it all we did endure, and still we get up and begin once more or drink from the cup of loneliness. Most days I am up at four and hurriedly go out the door, staying much busier then ever before, just to avoid that cup of loneliness. Many nights when I'm at rest, it returns like an uninvited guest to insist, taunt and press, "you must drink from your cup of loneliness!!" Finally, finally, I agree and in those dark spaces I finally see other light beings beckoning to me, "come join us in the endless sea, together we swim to eternity, way, way beyond the cup of loneliness..

A belated welcome to poetry soup. At times we all drink from this cup. Sometimes I drink from it while being in a crowded room. Well expressed and I like the resolution.
