Another Chance To Lie

You said you were sorry, that he didn't mean a thing
You asked me to forgive you, you turned away crying
But darlin' I heard that before, so please tell me why
Why should I give you, another chance to lie

Tell me why do I need this, you caused the crime
And you've broken my heart, one to many times
You say that you love me, but please tell me why
Why should I give you, another chance to lie

You knew I'd do anything, cause I gave you my all
You even took me for granted, and I took the fall
But it hurts that you left, without saying goodbye
All because I gave you, another chance to lie

You think I'm gonna miss you, now that you're gone
Cause memories bring pain, when your living alone
But in time I'll forget you, your memories will die
And I won't have to give you, another chance to lie
