Another Chance

ANOTHER CHANCE

God gives another chance to us because of His great love,
For as He’s looking down at us from His great home above
He knows our frame is only dust, we often slip and fall;
We often fail to hear His voice and listen to His call.
The world seems full of louder cries of fortune or of fun;
We find ourselves attracted to the call of many a one.
Before we know it, we are caught up in some evil snare,
And though we search, we cannot find enjoyment anywhere.
But if we really are God’s child, His Spirit still prevails;
His voice will softly speak to us, His mercy never fails.
And when we see how we have failed in many wasted days
And how the choices were so wrong now in our wayward ways,
We find God’s hands are still stretched out, so willing to receive,
Another chance He offers us if we will just believe.
We look at failure and at loss with hopeless thoughts and cries
And in our time of misery we do not realize
That God has sent those thoughts to us to show us our great sin
And that our joy will only come when we will live for Him.
So though you may have your regrets, rejoice!  for now you know
God wants to give another chance for you to onward go!
Get up now from your knees, my friend, and at His face now 
glance;
His arms are stretched out wide to you to give you one more 
chance!
