Animosity
Confident stride in a broken face.
Can you guess who lost the race?
Straightest line along a path.
Can the stray cat do the math?
Every time in every way,
Our hero fails to save the day,
And has to try to sleep at night
Knowing he went down without a fight.
Whenever does a poodle cry?
When it finds its life's a lie,
And the only one who believed,
Found the lie, and pulled out her teeth
What's a fake smile without a promise?
The only lie that's truely honest.
All you have to do is look and assess.
Then the hard facts sting a lot less.
Tell me all the things you hate.
Don't expect love. It's far too late.
I wear my heart on my sleeve.
Stab me in the back. I will not bleed.
What will you do when the paths bend
And my loud beginning is your lowly end?
Of course you will hate
This reversal of fate
Spiteful, jealous Mr. Nemo
And his dear old friend.
