Anguished Mind

Corrupted by fear, my mind is
                    a bleak place.
 Unraveling and untwisting
                in a harsh embrace.
Ghastly shadows surround my breath
                         - it fades.
 Haunting me, the unknown;
              lurking in the shades.

 Within my soul, a cruel cold resides
     sending shivers down my spine and
                    stamping my sides.
 These fears, they torment me
                    and carve their name
       I fear that they may never fade
                     forever their aim.
