RUNAWAY GIRL

Tell me where are you going

my little runaway girl

and what do you see

in your runaway world

You've been looking for the answers

with the rising of each sun

but you take your chances

just like everyone

But I see no need to worry about tomorrow

all these things are gonna come on down by themselves

There'll be plenty of time for pouring out your sorrow

Don't let your dreams just rot upon the shelves

NO

My little runaway girl
The sun is now setting

and your eyes are turning green

You say you're gonna show me

what love really means

I'm reading you straight now

there's no lines in between

All in all I'm so happy

We could do this thing

But I see no need to worry about tomorrow

all these things are gonna come on down by themselves

there'll plenty for wallowing in sorrow

Now don't let your dreams just rot upon the shelves

no

My little runaway girl
Now you stand by the mirror

putting your make up on

and I'm sitting here

working on this song

I know you might leave tomorrow

but baby, life goes on

and I promise to miss you

Oh baby when you're gone
but I see no need to worry about tomorrow

all these things are gonna come down by themselves

there'll plenty of time for wallowing in sorrow

Now don't let your dreams just rot upon the shelves

no

my little runaway girl

Oh tell me where are you going

my little runaway girl

and what do you see
