Angel's Wings

I'm looking for that special place
Where my soul can feel at home
I wander here upon this earth
Where empty souls must roam

Not knowing what tomorrow brings
My journey's unfulfilled
If my past dictates my future
Then my fate's already sealed

A traveler in a foreign land
I live from day to day
Lost and somehow reprobate
I sometimes lose my way

I walk around from dusk til dawn
Searching for the light
Surrounded by the darkness
Like a prisoner of the night

I hear the flutter of angel's wings
Sent to guide my way
A sign from God, He's heard my words
That I've uttered as I pray

How much longer must I journey,
Until my sins are all confessed?
Lead me Lord and guide my way
To this place I'm meant to rest
