Angels to Watch Over Me
At night as I lay in my bed,
All curled up with my thoughts of dread,
I’m comforted in agony
With angels to watch over me.
The day is done, I try to rest.
I like to think I did my best
And that I’m just where I should be
With angels to watch over me.
I say a prayer of thankful praise
That I have grace to fill my days.
He calms me when I’m lost at sea
With angels to watch over me.
And at the end when done is life
With no more fears and no more strife,
I pray I’ll live eternally
With angels to watch over me.
