Angels On My Shoulder

POEM " ANGELS ON MY SHOULDER " by martin gedge

I don't have wings but tend to things
that puts my fate to test
through trying times we walk the lines
in fear and sure unrest
but as faith should guide we cannot hide
to put your minds at ease
it is our goal to let you know
our hearts to wear the sleeves
through thick and thin we dive right in
for safe and duty cause
we will not take a second break
for kind or round applause
but feel the pain we shall remain
a clear and focused eye
be night or day we often pray
for angels from the sky
and take the weight not hesitate
to work this overtime
we'll split the seam a new vaccine
to draw on down the line
for every case that we now face
the numbers will not lie
we often speak to reach it's peak
that those will surely die
so take advice and sacrifice
the needs to be alone
and be apart and take to heart
to quarantine the home
and distance you this foreign flu
to stop it in its tracks
educate and please relate
the importance of the facts
to understand and wash each hand
and keep them from your face
and realize to sanitize
your print and every trace
for hope enough as dear as love
a fight we must survive
we need your help to keep yourself
and those you love alive...

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
