Angels Never Die

He lives within the embrace of God
A man who died with good in his heart,
But sadness in his soul

He sits among us all
Within the kingdom that holds him prisoner
Waiting, watching, wanting

Taken from happiness
Now lost within a lonely dimension,
Watching his soul fall deeper into despair

His mind caught within a quite madness
Memories of a past life no longer there,
Memories he held dear to where a heart once lay;
Where the void takes over

He aches to cry out but cannot,
Screaming desperately within the silence he hears.

With heart clenched in hand he sits
As demons and angels claw at his feet,
Surrounded by white but seen in darkness
He weeps within himself

The lack of self comfort,
Self aware,
Sensing his sanity slipping away

The bliss he was promised, he worshipped
Nothing but a false image as he remains in this lonely dimension,
Waiting for the moment his soul is lost

So he can truly be nothing,
Released from the hell he was put in
This hell called paradise.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
