Angels Follow Me

I dream at night but not alone
The angels do surround me
My tears take on a musical tone
With them singing around me

They're by my side both night and day
Protecting me from all folly
Giving me words when I need to pray
And easing my dark melancholy

I know my angels, some for sure
Dear loved ones who've passed over
Like Mama with her heart so pure
Now dancing in heavenly clover

And my dearest daddy strong and sleek
Now stands his black hair flowing
Touches me gently on the cheek
His silver robes are glowing

Vessels of deepest love are they
They're with me every hour
My guardians are here to stay
I feel their holy power

They'll be right there to lift me high
When through trouble I've trod
And help me when my time draws nigh
To touch the face of God
