Angel of Sorrow

She sits by the moon
She stares at the stars
She prays for Orion
She cries over Mars

She's an angel of sorrow
And a mother of tears
Harbinger of sadness
Wrought through the years

Her eyes drip with crystals
Her heart beats with pain
She watches the drowning
Of her loved domain

She can't stop the hurting
She can't quell the tide
She can't quench the fire
That burns deep inside

She cradles her passion
In shivering arms
She chants incantations
While rubbing her charms

She dreams of a day
When a new light will shine
And guide her away
To a happier time

Till then she's an angel
Of sorrow and woe
Bearing the sadness
That no-one could know
