Angel
The silent stillness waits
At my heart's anxious gate
The play of dark and light
Bedazzles drowsy sight
The journey fork road path
Makes choice puzzling enough
The uncertain feeling
Shades doubts unravelling
The last light now falling
Marks poor deciphering
Yet I know this full well
My angel helps me dwell
Yes I can find my way
Through anxious earthly days
I sense a calmness here
Feel faith and love now steer
An inner calm abides
To light, to rouse, to guide.
A gentle touch saves me
Anchor in stormy seas
No matter where I walk
My angel aids my talk
Day by day I journey
Into life's mystery
