Angel'

I met an angel the other day,
He came upon me as I knelt and prayed.
A vision from our Father above,
Telling me about His mercy and His devotional love.

The angel said to me' "You're learning my son.
Keep up your studies of the Lords words, and learn where you came from.
Spiritual writing is your projected path,
Be fearful of God and His wrath."

"I'm trying to understand," I said.
"What's God's purpose is for me, this is what I've read."
"Fear of God, is a healthy first sign,
And wisdom, love, faith are right behind.

The angel smiled and I saw his eyes gleam,
"Search spiritually, understand all is not what it seems.
You realizing that you are sinner, and salvation is from Jesus,
His love, teachings, and compassion is for you like gemstones, very precious."

"You've been blessed with the Holy Spirit,
If you listen closely, you'll be able to hear it.
Continue in your search, the door will be opened,
For you to be saved, earning the right to enter His Kingdom.

He disappeared then, I continued in my prayers,
Was it a vision, a dream? I thought, I really did care.
The Lord works in mysterious ways, this I do know,
My salvation, my path is spiritually through Jesus, because I love Him so.

I believe in angels, Robert, and this reads like a sincere, true account of an encounter with a heavenly being. The third verse really hit home for me. Can't tell you how many times I have prayed simply for guidance and direction. I admire your faith. Love, Carolyn
