Anew
Thus, I begin my life anew -
New hopeful days with new chances,
New challenges and tasks to do.
I revel in this - the freshness…
I left my past behind - no pain!
The impossible became real.
I threw off the shackles - the chain.
My new life – joyful and simple.
I start over - I take a deep breath.
The air is clear – no mist.
I’m the happiest creature on earth,
And strong enough – at last – to exist.
