Anew

Everything’s changed
And still not a damn thing at all.
The same routine, the same people, the same monotonous circles I run.
Everything the same.

The clock still ticks forward.
My heart is still beating.
Yet I yearn for a change.

To leave me behind
To start anew
To find a new gold in this pile of despair.

I think I finally understand
The stories never told
The voices that echo in my soul.
All yearning for a change.
To start anew.
