And You Are Me

AND YOU ARE ME
(A poem I wrote for my for my neice in reverence of my oldest sister who
died a year ago this past October)

By Roy Merritt

Darling sister and mother just passed
Your memory with us will forever last
And while you linger in the great unknown
Know that your memory carries on
In our minds and hearts it dwells within
Til that time we shall meet again
Whether it be in some heavenly plane
Or cosmic dust we shall remain
United forever we shall be
For I am you and you are me
For I am you and you are me
You were my sister, you gave me life
You gave me shelter, you eased my strife
And so on into eternity
You shall forever be with me
For I am you and you are me
For I am you and you are me
