And Wishing You Were Here

the socially inept have taken over

the worlds no longer ours

ageless proverbs all but lost

on floors of dirty cars

pulling the pieces off dusty shelves

and out of broken jars

aiming beyond an ailing moon

to lose ourselves in the stars
