And When

And when the candles are lighted
And the balmy breeze blows
And when the stars are sighted
Where the river gently flows

And the red poinsettia kiss the eyes
And the holy carols are heard
As if angels were still in the skies
And shepherds still kept the herd

And when the season of Christmas
Come trolling from pagan lore
Loneliness make the heart sad, alas
And I miss you more and more.

Hauntingly beautiful, L'nass! Christmas can be lonely when your loved one's not around. I wish you a very Merry Christmas filled with God's blessings and a Happy, Prosperous New Year filled with all the good things you wish for yourself! Peace an love, Audrey
