And To Think It's Only Early January

Icy chills and heating bills
Streaks and stains on window sills
Of winter I have had my fill ~
  Return, O Robin and Whippoorwill

Hello Gershon … winter can’t end soon enough and birdsong is a good sign indeed - thank you Gershon - Lindsay

Hilarious! We have freezing rain here today, but have not had more than one truly wintery day yet. I am okay with a little bit of frost and ice. You are in Chicago though; I know it is cold there. I lived there 9 years. "heating bills" - don't remind me!

I'm afraid there are a couple of months left to be dressed in layers. I much prefer heat to cold. A charming little verse, GW.

I've had enough, too! But Old Man Winter likes to keep himself occupied. :0 Cheers and best wishes, Evelyn

Yes, indeed. We've got a ways to go, don't we? Snow's been on the ground for four days in Chicago, but it already feels like forever to me. ~ Spoiled Silly
