And Then There's This Boat

And Then There’s This Boat

I was at the beach with long lost friends
They asked about my who, why, whens
And how on earth I carried on
And just exactly what went wrong
I guess you know I beached her
Left her high and dry
After all our years together
You probably wonder why
She was old and leaking
Her bottom it would sag
And if you got a whiff of her
You just might start to gag
She listed to the left
Then she listed to the right
No beauty left to speak of
She had become a fright
If you didn’t pay attention
She would usually shut down
No matter what you did for her
She wouldn’t make a sound
So you see I couldn’t help it
I had all that I could take
And so you see I beached her
And it wasn’t by mistake
AND then there’s this boat I found
