And Then He Has To Leave

I feel the joy his presence brings
I hear him when he speaks
I hear the pain that’s in my soul
And then he has to leave

I feel so happy when he’s near
I listen and I see
I hear the sorrow in my heart
And then he has to leave

I feel him lying next to me
I listen to him breathe
I hear his heart as it beats
And then he has to leave

I feel the pain of losing him
I listen and I dream
I hear the ringing of his phone
And then he has to leave
