And That's A Bit Too Unkind
How can you ever think
that my attraction is
an appropriate wink...
that's a bit too unkind
to reject me, stay behind
and throw an arrow
to wound me pitilessly:
it's not the first time or last!
What you hide and won't show:
is your mindlessness and vanity:
compassion cannot be put to rest!
And that's a bit too unkind
to recognize your unfairness
and disregard who has feelings;
and that a bit too unkind
going around spreading terrible lies...
feeding your ego that lacks kindness!
I gave you the best of me to you;
I dedicated time to make you happy;
want was a remedy for your malady...
empty hands didn't go well with you!
And that's a bit too unkind,
seeing you looking around and start affairs;
I can break it anytime without regrets...
and get rid of this restlessness that grows!
And that's a bit too unkind...
denying me the chance for a turnaround!
