And In So Changing

And in so changing, does the sun
Lose heat or luminosity,
And do the solar winds succumb,
Surrender their ferocity?

And in so changing, must the seas
Trade depth and hidden wonder,
And do the sands defy the surf
Thus burying us under?

And in so changing, could the skies
Bleed space and all infinity,
And do the stars of night forsake
Their angel bright divinity?

And in so changing in the eyes
Of God and all His blessing,
And as you are so shall you be
Two lovers coalescing.
