And I Miss You

And I miss you
Like a flower misses the dew
Like the grey sky misses the blue
So deep that no word can do

And I miss you
With a feeling so sharp that it cuts through
With a heart that carries the memory of you
So painful yet so true

And the day passes by
And life carries me high
Still this agony I cannot defy
Because I miss you, for you are not nearby
