And God Only Loves Americans
When I go down to the night by sea
And eye myself the ocean
The sea tells me to sky my thoughts
And I came up with this notion
How many beings could house the stars?
God creating in other places
A million worlds and many souls
Engineering the many faces
One of them is peaceful
No wars or crime to grieve
He told us about it years ago
A snake and a chick named Eve
Another is aquatic
But on vessels some do thrive
It’s got whales that ate a Jonah
And an ark that took a drive
And on is not a planet
Its killers barred from travel
It’s always hot and it’s where you stay
Once the “Man” drops his gavel
We know he sent his son here
He could have been on tour
We may be on his list again
Don’t make it like before
And maybe during all this creating
He said I have made enough souls
And sent them out for rehab
To help them reach their goals
With each body you inhabit
A vehicle to get you upstairs
You live another episode
A way he shows he cares
Now wouldn’t it be something
To be born some place way out
And see flashbacks in a conscience state
Of strange beings that are real no doubt
There goes all your questions
And what little we really knew
And how the world relates to life
That bigger than me and you
So next time you see a hoodlum
Ask yourself to see his plight
As an alien he was a preacher
It’s his soul that tests the night
And God only loves Americans
Nowhere else life could thrive
Like were all that he created
In cruise control he’ll drive
