And a Roar
I have seen this light before...
See how I awake!
Something stirs within this heart,
Something bound to break...
The lion of a roaming soul
With cords is made to lie --
A noose about the mighty jaw,
A fear cast in his eye.
In a dream of sleeping, waking --
Heart has lost its mind...
Still, a strength that stays his breath
Until the clock's unwind.
Then, a light that startles,
That rushes through his veins.
Now the rising spirit-song
To wake all that remains.
And a roar...all the world has heard.
Rise, oh captive, see
The very cords that bound your soul
So shattered. You are free.
