Anchored To My Heart
She is deep in my soul
She is anchored to my heart
When each morning dawns
She is first upon my thoughts
She is part of the song
That gets me through each day
Even though she has passed on
Her love is here to stay
Our daughter’s eyes
Reminds me much of her
She has her mother’s smile
Other people do concur
I promised to be strong
So our daughter does not see me weep
But my promises go wrong
Every night when I’m asleep
She is deep in my soul
I feel her presence every day
She is anchored in my heart
Where her love will always stay
She is part of the song
I hear echo in my ears
For our daughter I’ll be strong
But I cannot hide the tears
