An Ordinary Letter

An ordinary letter from home, a faraway land, foreign
‘How are you?’ A voice flashes with each word, written.
How am I? Did not think about this, never felt to think today
After all, it will be an inability not to follow an excellent way.
My little one asked, "when will the vacation start, know ammu?"
A curious question to ask the mirror, before bypassing the true.

An ordinary letter from a friend, fascinating fact of today
Written with affection and care, will treasure that in May!
An ordinary letter, a much-needed one, I cannot afford to reply back
All my songs are stuck in a loop, keeps on coming on a repeated track!
Could be my last words, but I will utter those words, bold and strong
Will cherish every single word! I knew the aftermath, for much too long!
