An Ordinary Day

Sitting in my room again
   like the day before.
Thankful for the safety of
my home and so much more.
Uncertain of what lies ahead
I bow my head to pray,
For mercy and the boredom of
   an ordinary day.

Last poem I wrote and last one my mother heard before going to er on March 30, 2020.
Unfortunately passing there with me on April 6, 2020. I am heartbroken.

So it has been for me...but I made those ordinary days special...I focused on my poetry 24 hours a day...Real one here

Thankyou and I got what I wished for but in a way I didn't want. Learning to be alone kinda. Missing my mom awfully

Prayer is what we still can do 'normally' -- and now we mean it!

Sometimes the ordinary days are filled with extraordinary moments, Sheri, I wish you the best. Happy Easter my friend. Hugs, John
