An Old Sailor Remembers

An Old Sailor Remembers I’m at the shore like long before On old familiar sand To search the seas And memories A spy glass in my hand I spy with my little eye A ship upon the sea With sails aloft The breeze so soft It barely seems to be The captain stands and barks commands The crew all hear him shout They jump right in The spinners spin She turns to come about The sails flap; I hear the clap She's flying wild and free And I can see that she like me Is where she's meant to be
