Notes About The Poem

An Infant's Dream

My song is my dreaming, I give it my all
Not always successful, it isn't my call
I dream of the things, that would push me along
I then add a melody, put it to song

It, may not seem, to help at the time
But a minor success, the feeling sublime
I may not be ready, and may never be
Without a strong mind, there's no guarantee

As I get older, remember this song
And how as I grew, it helped me along
Even at my age, I must confess
Hope as an adult, I will be a success
