An Incomplete Orbit

I have a cracked window to my yesterdays
Through which distortions you care to see me
Time has given us together and always
Tonight, don’t drown in what if’s endless sea

I’m an astronaut traversing your confused alien world
Searching for that cosmic spark – a sign of life
An incomplete orbit, love suspended – morbid
Remove those lenses you filter through our love

Time has choreographed stars in your beautiful face
The fear of losing you fills my veins with dark matter
Before they burnout, may I have this dance, a last glance
To my daylight before you leave me bitter forever
