An Epiphany is Born

An epiphany, a miracle! I have seen the light,
while fluidly, fluently focused on the night.
I am one with the universe, at last I'm free!
I flow through it, as it flows through me.

And what emerged from this darkness, this blight,
was a perception, a reflection, an acceptance...
an acceptance of my blessed inner light.
I am weightless, suspended, with astral sight.

Oh spectacular, speckled night, forged by dying might,
the inner peace I sought my whole life, is no respite.
Compassion, walking hand in hand, with patience, tolerance,
entwined with sympathy, empathy, and what I know to be right.

Why did I only just find, these lost keys to my mind?
Now, look at what I have unlocked, it's gold, refined.
But why, oh why, did it wait till I was much clearer,
but oh so very much nearer, to the end of the line?

Yes Brother Wolf, but it's also said, better late than never. Never too old to achieve enlightenment, no matter how long it takes.
