An Empty Tomb
An Empty Tomb
An Empty Tomb
Gives us hope for the future
An act of God
Not a freak of nature
When the stone was rolled away
By angels unseen
Christ stepped into the light
From the darkness where He’d been.
This Empty Tomb
Reminds man of God’s love
His sacrifice for us all
From His Sanctuary above
Each one has the hope
Of life eternal
Reconciliation with God
At last will be factual.
The hope of this world
Hinges on this Empty Tomb
For had Christ not risen
We’d all have been doomed.
But all heaven rejoiced
On that Sunday morn,
When the existence of sin
Was finally scorned.
Mohammed still lies
Entombed in a grave
Buddha too has not risen—
Remains in the earth enclaved.
Christ is the only one,
Who rose to live again.
Eternal life the victory—
Changed in a moment then.
So when you’re told,
“He was only a prophet.”
There’s no wisdom,
Regarding the wedding banquet;
No acknowledgment of a tomb—
An Empty Tomb in Israel,
Where evil was conquered,
Because Christ did not fail!
This Empty Tomb reminds us,
We have hope for a future,
When we heed Christ’s call
For He is the only answer.
