An Elevator Ride Of Love
Elevator rides have a special significance
Only four floors but oh what a ride
For the two of us it was a journey to paradise
Pouring out what was locked up inside
Hurried moments till we reached our floor
Added to the thrill of each kiss
Always left with wanting more, more, more
Those stolen moments of bliss
Lived for thirty years deep in my memory
Trumpets of love were a-sounding
An unmatched feeling of wanting so strong
Can still feel my heart a-pounding
We must have been two of the luckiest souls
Fit together like a hand in a glove
Twas the first thing on my mind every morning
This elevator ride of love
Wonder how many if any we fooled each day
None not a single damn soul
We sure didn't care in our own loving world
The greatest tale of love ever told
