An Earthly Angel

I dance with a beautiful angel,
harps resonate heavenly tunes,
I pirouette with a divine beauty,
strain my ears to celestial croons.
Would this beatific joyfulness last
for blessed eternal time,
since I have found an angel
that dances so sublime?
The problem that now faces me
is whether she really cares,
for it's not easy to discern
if I'm one who capably shares
the love of something so divine.
So worried I tremble that all this will end,
will this dance go on and on and on
despite the fact I do still pretend
that I have not toiled and laboured in vain
but wish it will never end in bitter pain.
