An Early Spring On the Coast
Back east its snowing,
there's blizzards galore.
Here on the west coast
we count our daffodils and more.
Its sunny, its bright,
Spring blooms all around.
While back in the east
a winter wonderland is found.
We are blessed on the coast,
Canada's banana belt
and we hope for your sakes
the ice will soon melt.
We see the carnage
that winter has brought
to our eastern neighbours
and we sympathize a lot.
But we can't help but gloat,
though its wrong we know,
as we bask in the sunshine
while you get, yet more snow.
