An Early Grave

A recent case in our country 
Left a beautiful bullied girl so hurt
That she took her own life
To escape her painful world

Bullying is an awful thing
No one should ever bare
It leaves the victim feeling worthless
Like no one really care

Souls are meant to be loved 
Souls are meant to feel safe
The saddest part about bullying
Is that it sent so many to an early grave

Teach your children to love and care
To not break someone's soul
Because not all will survive the pain
Not all remains whole

She had so many dreams
From what I read a good heart too
And an unnecessary incident 
Broke her little heart in two

To every bully out there
May God change your heart
Because it is ways like yours
That rip so many lives apart

Rest in peace dear young one
It is devastating to read what you had to endure
That leaving this world
Was your only way of feeling secure

Dear God I pray of you today
To keep all bullied young ones safe
That every bully will learn to love them
Not send them to an early grave

Jan Allison April 27, 2021 at 4:01 PM aww BE this is so sad, not sure how the bullying occurred here but i know social media can cause huge issues - we had a lass on the island commit suicide because of on line bullying, as a consequence I wrote a poem called Being bullied which was used by an anti bullying organisation:-) hugs jan xx
