An Average Sinner
I wonder if I will ever see Heaven,
if my feet will be above the clouds...
I'm just an average sinner guy.
I understand forgiveness is the key
to following in the footsteps of Christ...
although, I seem to fail when I try.
I believe that I can do better
with reflection and much inner prayer...
I know that I have a great ally.
I contemplate, meditate, and marvel
at how my inner spirit has changed...
when my sins - I no longer deny.
I stand in awe of the Great Master,
and of His loving Son...
forgiveness for this average guy.
