An Apple a Day
An apple a day
Keeps the doctor away.
With the meal finished
My daughter is still hungry
An hour later, anyway.
Reprimanded by her mother,
Acquiesced by her father,
She chomps away silently,
Juicy brick after juicy brick.
She is never, ever sick.
