An Addicts Prayer

To the light my soul entrust The human journey that I must Partake and find my way Know where to go, know what to say Learn from deeds in which I fail To the Glory of God I hail From the cross in which I bare I pray my soul to God with care Soul with body, not adverse My disease is not my curse But the way in which I learn For, no longer will I yearn For the outside to come in Because all I need comes from within
