AMOKE

With the brightness of the morning,
As the sun rises above us,
Rolled out of the bed,
Pepped through the window,
People moving to and fro,
Amidst the crowd there she is.

Beads swaying around her waist,
And her hair like the midas gold,
Her skin matches the fairness of the ground,
Come Oh! Ye beautiful one,
Don’t be far from me,
Lets be together,
Like turtle doves.
